Delices de Cartier
CARTIER'S PRECIOUS TIMEPIECE COLLECTION SHOWCASED AT PROVIDENT JEWELRY'S HOLIDAY PARTY
JUPITER, Fla. (December 15, 2011) Provident Jewelry held its annual holiday party for more than 50 guests to introduce the exclusive timepiece collection, Delices de Cartier. Guests enjoyed sparkling champagne and hors d'oeuvre at the Jupiter Showroom, while admiring and purchasing creations that look more like pieces of jewelry than watches.
The showroom was transformed into a picturesque candy theme displaying a dessert tray filled with an array of decadent and stunning timepieces. The theme originated from the Delices de Cartier watch, whose design was inspired by the shape of wrapped candy and launched in 2011. Calibre De Cartier, an 18 kt white-gold, full pave diamond bezel and case, was just a one of the timepieces that captivated the guests.
"Provident Jewelry is proud to partner with Cartier for this event," said Rob Samuels, owner of Provident Jewelry. "It's a wonderful opportunity to show some exclusive and elegant timepieces to our customers."
Guests enjoyed a delightful evening making the holiday season an unforgettable one.

VEGAS VIBE
Combining the excitement of elite gaming with the finest Swiss haute horology, Christophe Claret's 21 Blackjack is a safe bet for fans of both Bond-worthy casino action and stunning timepieces. To wit: An exquisite pair of 1.5mm gold dice tumble in a special window on the 4 o'clock case side to simulate craps. The case back features a roulette wheel that's ingeniously integrated into the watch's winding mechanism; the rotor is balanced to stop randomly along one of the preset red and black numbers when it loses momentum (also, customers can select a "lucky number" and have an emerald set next to it on the case). But the pièce de résistance is the blackjack feature on the watch face:
Card windows (one set for the "dealer" between 11 and 1 o'clock, and one for the player between 3 and 9 o'clock) display randomly generating playing cards from a series of rotating solid gold discs under the smokey dial. "Dealer" and "Player" push buttons activate the card changes and set off a minute repeater-style chime to let you know the game is afoot. All this fun should not take too much away from the inventive mechanics of the watch itself. The in-house mechanism consists of 501 components and 40 jewels and sports a 72-hour power reserve. Available in different combinations of titanium and precious metals, only 21 of each series will be produced for the discriminating watch and gaming connoisseur. Pricing ranges from about $210,000 depending on style and material

Drawing shoppers article: Looks great!
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Black Friday means big money for malls and major department stores. But it's the opposite for the smaller businesses in our community.
"Black Friday usually hurts us small businesses because they're usually in department stores and other big things. So when they do something like that for small businesses the day after Black Friday, it really helps us," said Robert Harris, part owner of J.C. Harris Men's Clothing.
Hurting from the economy, some local businesses are taking part in "Small Business Saturday" to stir up business.
J.C. Harris Men's Clothing in downtown West Palm Beach is offering 20 percent off to customers tomorrow.
Other small businesses in our area are also offering incentives for shoppers tomorrow, including Provident Jewelers who has locations in Jupiter and downtown West Palm Beach.
"We are actually offering a $500 gift certificate for anyone who purchases something that's $2,500 or more. That applies for both Jupiter and the West Palm Beach store," said Lara Pansolli, P.R. director for Provident Jewelers.
The special offers don't stop tomorrow, she says they have several other incentives through the holidays that they hope will bring customers in.
"With the economy, everyone's been hurting and it just draws more traffic in the door for the local businesses who have been here a while," said Pansolli.
American Express began "Small Business Saturday" two years ago as way to help encourage people to shop their favorite local stores.

All proceeds from raffle items and casino games went directly toward LLS. Provident Jewelry also donated a percentage of proceeds from the evening to the organization to help those in need.
LLS was excited to be teaming with Provident Jewelry and Palm Beach Illustrated for a second year," said Darby Collins, LLS's senior campaign director. "This event gives us a wonderful opportunity to raise money for an organization that helps so many in need."
LLS's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Getting ready for a night on the town! Provident Jewelry's Fashion Editorial with Gulf Shore Life Magazine..
Provident Jewelry was excited to be invited by Gulf Shore Life Magazine to be the exclusive jeweler in the January 2012 Fashion Editorial. I spent the day with Stylist Pamela Jean & Photographer Nesti Mendoza and crew shooting the editorial in Tuscany Reserve and the Sugden Plaza on Fifth Ave In Naples. In the weeks leading up to the shoot Pamela & I worked together selecting Jewelry that matched the amazing couture looks, pairing our stunning diamond & citrine necklace and earring suite with a Rena Lange V-neck gown, stacking vintage diamond bracelets with an Isabella Maxi Dress, or my personal favorite an antique diamond watch circa 1940 paired with a trendy diamond & onyx bracelet. We tied the jewelry together with black and white diamond chandelier earrings. This amazing combo was paired with a gray chiffon shirt and black leather pants. The cover shot of the magazine included black and white diamond drop earrings and an 18kt white diamond cluster cocktail ring.. Black diamonds continue to be the trend for 2012 and Provident Jewelry has a huge selection! Fashion Stylist Pamela Jean was ecstatic about the way we paired contemporary and vintage jewelry making each look completely unique and beautiful.
